Since 1993, the German Volkswagen has used YAG laser welding in the automobile roof welding production line for mass production. Today, laser welding has been used as a mature technology in more and more automobile manufacturers. At present, there are two main ways to use silver electrodes for laser welding of car bodies: one is fusion welding, which does not require filler material. The laser directly acts on the surface of the workpiece for welding, which is mainly used for hard-to-reach parts to implement non-contact remote welding. , such as welding of workpieces such as automobile four-door inner panel assembly, B-pillar inner panel assembly, etc.;


The connection of some components is not suitable for laser fusion welding, but the laser can be used as a heat source to perform soft soldering and brazing, which also has the advantages of laser fusion welding. There are many ways to use soldering, among which, laser soldering is mainly used for the welding of printed circuit boards, especially for the assembly technology of chip components. Compared with other methods, laser soldering has the following advantages:


1. Due to the local heating, the components are not prone to thermal damage and the heat-affected zone is small, so soldering can be performed near the heat-sensitive components.


2. Using non-contact heating to melt the bandwidth without any auxiliary tools, it can be processed after the double-sided components are equipped on the double-sided printed circuit board.


3. Good stability in repeated operation. The flux has little pollution to welding tools, and the laser irradiation time and output power are easy to control, and the laser brazing yield is high.


4. The laser beam is easy to achieve light splitting. Optical elements such as half mirrors, mirrors, prisms, and scanning mirrors can be used for time and space division, and multi-point simultaneous symmetrical welding can be realized.


Due to the complexity of the laser brazing process of silver electrodes and many influencing factors, when the processing quality declines, it cannot be explained by one reason in most cases, but the beginning and end of the processing track are usually considered as the key. part. In order to meet the quality requirements when laser brazing is used, every aspect of the process adjustment is performed with great care.
